Young Professionals Event, Wednesday, April 5th at 5:30 PM

The IEEE Central Illinois Section Young Professionals Affinity Group is happy to announce that we will be co-sponsoring the Chambana Science Cafe this Wednesday, April 5th at Pizza-M in Urbana. This month’s theme is: “Power Hour: Changes in Power Engineering in a Changing World”. Presentations by Illinois Power and Energy Systems graduate students will highlight this event, and there will be free pizza, while supplies last! Come to hear about cutting edge research in power and energy from young engineers in our community, and meet other YP members in our section.

About the speaker:

Russ Reynolds is the Chief Utility Plant Operating Engineer of Abbott Power Plant.  He has over 41 years of experience in the utility industry where he has held positions such as testing, commissioning, and startup of nuclear and fossil power plants, engineering, design, construction, and operation of district cooling plants, fossil power plant  engineering, operations, and maintenance.  He received his B.S degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois and His MBA from Lewis University.
