Idaho Power has developed an effective cloud-seeding program that adds snowpack critical to our company’s electrical generation while making more water available in the Snake River Basin for a wide range of stakeholders. What began as a call by company shareholders to investigate the efficacy of seeding in our region has grown into a collaborative regional effort. In addition to increasing the breadth and scope of our seeding activity, Idaho Power has implemented state of the art monitoring equipment to help with storm targeting and to provide followup data to help further refine our operations.
