On 11 March, 2017, IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS), Bangladesh Chapter and IEEE Bangladesh Section SAC organized an “Awareness Session on Biomedical Research” in collaboration with IEEE Stamford University Student Branch. About 35 students participated in this session. Among them 07 were IEEE members and 28 were non-IEEE members. The duration of the awareness session were 3 hours. The session started from 10:00 am and continued till 01:00 pm.
In the beginning of the session, Md. Nurnunabi Mollah, Industrial Activity Coordinator, IEEE Bangladesh Section gave an inspirational speech to the participants. He mentioned the importance of Biomedical Research for Electrical and Electronic Engineering Student’s. He thanked all the participants for their spontaneous participation in this awareness session and encouraged non-IEEE member to join IEEE.
Sayeed Shafayet Chowdhury, News and Communication Executive, IEEE EMBS, Bangladesh Chapter were conducted the session. He discussed about Brain Machine Interface, Medical Diagnosis, ECG, EEG and he emphasized on the importance of Biomedical Research for Electrical and Electronic Engineering student’s.
Moreover, Asir Intisar Khan, Lecturer, Dept. of EEE, BUET; Treasurer, IEEE EMBS, Bangladesh Chapter gave a fundamental concept on Biomedical Research to the participants. He also discussed on different topics of Biomedical Research.
The awareness session were endowed with a massive response from the participants. It was a interactive session, participants and instructors both are enjoyed the session. From this session participants got a vast information on Biomedical Research.
The awareness session ended up with the valuable speech of Dr. Dilshad Mahjabeen, Associate Professor, Dept. of EEE, Stamford University Bangladesh & Branch Counselor, IEEE Stamford University Student Branch. She praised the enthusiasm of the participants and the organizers of ” Awareness Session on Biomedical Research”.
