Notice Title: Seminar on Rural Communication in 5G & Beyond
————

Dear All,

IEEE ComSoc Bangalore Chapter is glad to invite you all to a seminar on “Rural Communication in 5G & Beyond” on January 23rd at 10 AM.

Abstract:
Connectivity to rural and remote areas play a key role in reducing the urban-rural digital divide. Economic viability poses a serious challenge to the telecom operators in building a cellular network in rural areas in the way it is built in urban areas. While 5G architecture offers significant efficiency gain by enhancing data rate, reducing latency, and providing massive connection density, cost-effective solutions for rural scenarios continue to be a challenge. This seminar will look into emerging technologies that are working towards a solution to this challenge with efficient backhaul using mmwave radios and last-mile distribution with licensed and unlicensed radios in a converged multi-access architecture. The seminar will also cover the IEEE SA industry connection program and Frugal 5G that will help evolve the network technologies beyond 5G.

Invited Speakers:
Sandeep Agrawal, Product Owner, C-DOT
Prasad Bhat, Founder & CTO, ASTROME
