Greetings IEEE Albuquerque Section Members,

In light of the COVID-19 issue, the IEEE Albuquerque Section officers have decided to cancel the 2020 Awards Banquet, originally scheduled for May 18 . However, we will still review and select award winners from the nominations submitted this year and award them as 2020 awards. In fact, we will continue to accept nominations for 2020 awards through April 17th. Nomination packets are available here.

If selected, awardees will be physically given their award this year, and they will be invited to the banquet next year, May 17, 2021 and recognized as a 2020 awardee. If the awardee is unable to attend the banquet next year, the awardee’s name and award will still be announced at the event.

The decision to cancel was not made lightly, and this approach was considered the best compromise of the current situation and our mission to encourage and recognize outstanding people.
