Dear Albuquerque student members,

Given the unprecedented circumstances with the COVID-19 situation, the Albuquerque Section is reaching out to learn more about how we can help our student members. As you know, the pandemic has resulted in the closing of university campuses and has seemingly overnight disrupted the economy and thus the near-term job market. Students are struggling to effectively learn remotely and uncertain how to proceed with their career development. Please take a moment to fill out the survey linked here so that the Albuquerque Section IEEE can better understand what students need and better gauge how to prioritize resources to help the most students.

In addition, the Section will be maintaining an active list of local employers who are still in need of qualified electrical and electronic skilled applicants despite the current economic situation. This list will be a living document located here.

To enhance learning remotely, several IEEE chapters, such as IEEE PELS are offering free online courses and webinars to everybody, regardless of membership, here.

Other IEEE resources that student members may be interested in include the Global Benefits Finder where you can search benefits by career phase and country, IEEE.tv, and the list of member discount programs.

Best regards,

Jason Neely
