The IST-Africa Conference was held between 18th – 22nd May (Virtually). This event featured 31 thematically focused sessions with over 95 presenters from public, private, education, and research organizations from 21 countries. It incorporated a mix of plenary presentations and thematic paper sessions presenting results across the conference thematic areas.

Among the thematic areas were e-Infrastructure, Global Development, Societal Implications of Technology, eGovernment, Content Technologies, eHealth, Entrepreneurship, Next Generation Computing, CyberSecurity, Technology-enhanced Learning, e-Agriculture, Environment Sustainability

The IEEE Africa Council participated in one of the plenaries. The Council was led by the Chair, Vincent Kaabunga.
