IEEE Tech Experts in the Media

When media outlets need technical commentary for articles, the IEEE Public Visibility Committee can consult its roster of IEEE Technical Experts. The list contains members from around the world who are experts on different technical areas. Recently, two IEEE Technical Experts were featured in top news outlets. These outlets generate millions of unique visitors per month, and the interactions strengthen relationships with reporters — who keep coming back to IEEE to find experts for their stories.

IEEE Senior Member Vikram Kapila was interviewed in the Robotics Business Review article, Mixed Reality Research at NYU Brings Robots Under Control With a Smartphone Swipe. This piece features a Q&A with Kapila around his research at NYU, utilizing mixed reality for multi-robot systems.

Todd Richmond, IEEE Member, and Kapila provided their thoughts on how holographic calls will change the future of voice calling for the consumer in the International Business Times article, What Are Holographic Calls? Technology May Replace Voice Calling In The Future.

The IEEE Public Visibility Committee is always interested in adding new technical experts to their roster. If you would like to be considered for an IEEE Technical Expert, please contact Jo Ann Grandal at j.grandal@ieee.org – or learn more on the IEEE Public Visibility Committee website.
