SPEED-O-TRACK

Design Specification:

Design an autonomous ROBOT to follow a black line on a white background, without losing the line, and navigating several turns. It has to complete the course in shortest period of time while accurately tracking the course line from start to finish wins.

  • The maximum dimension of the robot can be 30 x 30 cm (l x b).
  • The robot should be autonomous.
  • Maximum weight must not exceed 1 .5kg (including battery).
  • Maximum of 4 sensors can be used.
  • The power supply can be up to 12Volts.
  • Line width will be of 4 cms at all points in the track.

Round 1 Specification( Qualifying Round):

  • The participating teams will drive their robot individually in track for preliminary round.
  • There can only be one robot per team and a maximum of 4 team members
  • The track contains black line with white background.
  • The shortest time taken by a bot to complete the path will be qualified for the next round.
  • The maximum area provided for the bots demonstration will be 3×3 meters.
  • Penalty remains the same as mentioned in rules and regulations of the event.

Round 2 Specification( Final):

  • Based on the shortest time taken to complete, top 6 teams will make to the finals.
  • Penalty remains the same as mentioned in rules and regulations of the event.
  • The shortest time taken to complete the path will win.

Rules & regulation of the event:

  • Fastest and most balanced robot will win.
  • Ready-made toy cars are not allowed.
  • Robot should be as per the given specifications.
  • The robot should not damage the arena.
  • The sensors should be adjusted according to the environmental conditions (sunlight) and no power supply will be provided at the arena.
  • The robot must not leave behind any of its parts during the run; else it will result in disqualification.
  • Unethical behaviour could lead to disqualification. Faculty-coordinators have all the rights to take final decision for any matter during the event.
  • Judge’s decision will be considered final.
  • Certificates will be given to all the participants.

 

Eligibility ( Team requirements):

  • Each team can have maximum of four members.
  • Each member of the team must contain the identity card of his/her respective institute.

Prize Money:

1st Prize:- ₹ 7500/-

2nd Prize:- ₹ 5000/-

3rd Prize:- ₹ 2500/-

Registration Fee:  ₹ 150 per head (Max. 4  in a team)               [Non IEEE Members]
