Abstract

X-parameters is new technology for data-based non-linear system modeling. Agilent promotes X-parameters as an industry standard by providing an open, documented format.  The presentation briefly reviews the definition, physical interpretation, modeling accuracy and applications of X-parameters.

Speaker

Mihai Marcu graduated from the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest, Romania, in 1983 with a degree of MSEE.  He worked in the industry since 1983 as design engineer with various companies in Romania, Canada and USA.  During these years Mihai gained expertise in a wide area of design and implementation problems.  In the early years he was focused on microwave/RF/analog designs.  He then expanded his area of expertise by working on system level designs and signal processing for system design with emphasis on digital communication systems. In the past few years Mihai focused on behavioral models for non-linear systems, X-parameters and their use in the simulation environment.  He joined Agilent EEsof in the year 2000.  He is currently a senior applications engineer in the Agilent EEsof Services team.
