Important Message for Attendees Potentially Affected by New Travel Restrictions

The IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium (IUS) values diversity. Authors who anticipate inability to travel to the IUS because of government-imposed travel restrictions are still encouraged to submit abstracts before the May 4 deadline.

All abstracts will be reviewed based on scientific quality without regard to authors’ nationalities. Within one week of abstract acceptance notification, potentially travel-restricted authors must notify the Technical Program Chair, Jan D’hooge (jan.dhooge@uzleuven.be). In documented cases where the submitting author is prevented from attending the IUS due to government-imposed travel restrictions, a solution of sending a substitute presenter is preferred. IUS resources are also currently under review in an effort to enable other solutions, such as remote presentation, poster presentation, or pre-recorded video (registration fee may be required).

The symposium will refund registration fees until September 17 if participation in the symposium is ultimately rendered impossible for the registree due to documented, government-imposed travel restrictions. Please contact YesEvents (IUSinfo@yesevents.com) for refunds.
