Fabio Garzia, ITALY
Fabio Garzia is Professor of various subjects relating to security for the Engineering Master’s program on Safety, Security and Civil Protection at the SAPIENZA – University of Rome (Italy), as well as various other Master’s and PhD programs at the same and other Universities, both in Italy and abroad.
He is Adjunct Professor at Wessex Institute of Technology (Southampton, UK).
He is member of European Academy of Science and Arts (Salzburg, Austria) which includes, between its members, about 30 Nobel prizes.
He is author of more than 150 publications (papers on international scientific journals and international & national conference proceedings), reviewer for different international scientific journals and member of different committees and working groups concerning security and ICT.
He is author or editor of about 24 different books concerning security, safety and ICT, both in Italian and English language.
He is member of scientific committee of different scientific conferences and co-Founder and co-Chairman of “SAFE: International Conference on Safety & Security Engineering”, conferences series, organized by Wessex Institute of Technology (UK) and SAPIENZA – University of Rome (Italy).
He is co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief of “International Journal of Safety & Security Engineering”, IIETA – International Information and Engineering Technology Association (Canada).

He is consultant, designer, realization manager and tester of physical/logical integrated security systems, ICT systems, installations, etc. and consultant for different security activities (risk analysis, reliability analysis, resilience analysis, impact analysis, disaster recovery, business and service continuity, emergency management, human factor, use and integration of new technologies, etc. ) having worked or working for: Vatican City State, Papal Basilica and Sacred Convent of St. Francis in Assisi, Presidency of Italian Republic, Senate of Italian Republic, Presidency of Council of Minister of Italian Republic, Italian high velocity railways, Italian Space Agency, Gran Sasso mountain underground laboratories of Italian Institute for Nuclear Physics, airports, ports, rail stations, Cultural Heritage sites (Basilicas, Churches, Museums, Archeological Areas, etc.), high risk industrial sites, different private and public companies, Foundation for the Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi, etc.
He has been Chairman of the 2014 ICCST in Rome, Italy.
