The Transmission, Access, and Optical Systems (TAOS) Technical Committee has an awards program, administered by the TAOS Awards Subcommittee. The Subcommittee grants awards to authors of best papers presented in ICC/Globecom symposia technically sponsored by TAOS, as well as authors of best journal or conference papers in areas of special interest to our community. TAOS also presents awards to outstanding members in recognition of their services and special contributions to the TC, and for outstanding technical achievements related to the scope of TAOS. Young researcher awards may also be granted by TAOS.
