8th IEEE Global Internet Symposium
Submission Guidelines
Final paper submission is through EDAS. Update your original submission
through EDAS. If you have problems with EDAS, let
Ted or
Keith know.
Final papers must meet the following criteria:
- Papers must be in PDF format. It is in your best interest to use common fonts. Strive to make your PDF operating system independent.
- Length: 5 pages or less. A page measures 8 1/2 by 11 inches (21.59 x
27.94 cm). This
includes figures, title pages, tables, dedications, colophons, prologues
or anything else. The only entity that can cause a paper to be longer
than 5 pages is list of references which can contain only the citations
to works referenced by the paper. Only one page of references is allowed, though you can reduce font sizes. Content beyond the first 5 pages will be
deleted from the proceedings.
- All fonts must be 10 pts or greater. You may format the list of
references and captions a smaller font.
- Figures and tables should be legible.
- A page must have at least one inch (2.54 cm) top and bottom margins,
and at least one inch (2.54 cm) left and right margins.
Authors may find the length of the submissions somewhat confining. While
we understand the difficulties involved, the short length has long been a
feature of the Global Internet Symposium and encourages new ideas that can
be simply laid out. The chairs encourage you to use the paper length to
encourage crisp, clear discussion of the key ideas and interesting results.
Note that as part of
INFOCOMM, the Symposium
has to abide by the
rules that
require a full rate registration for each paper.
We have tried to be unambiguous with these guidelines, but if authors have
questions, they should mail Ted or
Keith.
